Working with elite swimmers like Paltrinieri and Acerenza, Federnuoto and Università di Bologna integrated wireless sEMG and IMUs to decode what happens beneath the surface. sEMG measures muscle activation (motor unit recruitment and firing frequency), while IMUs track linear acceleration and angular velocity.
By filtering raw signals to isolate physiological data, we extract:
✅ Activation patterns and contraction duration.
✅ Left/right asymmetries and signal amplitude.
✅ Fatigue indicators and neuromuscular synergies.
This integration connects muscle activity with movement dynamics to optimize technique and prevent injury through objective data.
