In conjunction with the upcoming SCARS 2026 Congress, we would like to remind you of a story that reflects the true meaning of healing and resilience.

At Umberto I polyclinic in Rome, Prof. Steven Paul Nisticò MD, Prof. Giovanni Cannarozzo MD, Prof. Giovanni Pellacani MD, together with their team of the hospital’s Laser Therapy Unit, are guiding two police officers - severely burned in the explosion of the LPG distributor on July 4th, 2025, in Rome -through a long and delicate recovery journey.
Today’s challenge is treating deep scars: marks that restrict movement and bear witness to a tragedy that changed their lives.
To support them, our laser systems help soften these physical signs of trauma, gradually restoring elasticity, function, and above all, hope.

When technology meets medicine, it becomes a powerful tool for a new beginning❤️.
