Siamo lieti di comunicare che è attivo nel nostro centro lo studio NET-MS (No Evidence of disease activity after autologous haematopoietic stem cell Transplantation in aggressive Multiple Sclerosis).

Si tratta di uno studio multicentrico italiano, coordinato dalla Prof. Matilde Inglese per valutare l’efficacia del trapianto autologo di cellule staminali ematopoietiche rispetto alle terapie ad alta efficacia (alemtuzumab, natalizumab, ocrelizumab e ofatumumab) approvate per la cura delle forme aggressive di Sclerosi Multipla (SM).

Sono coinvolti 10 centri in Italia, rispettivamente a Genova (centro coordinatore), Firenze, Torino-Orbassano, Roma, Ravenna, Milano, Cagliari e Palermo.

I pazienti arruolati saranno randomizzati o a trattamento con trapianto autologo o a una delle terapie ad alta efficacia

Chi può partecipare?

1. persone con SM a ricadute e remissioni

2. età compresa tra i 18 e i 55 anni

3. disabilità neurologica moderata (EDSS tra 2 e 6)

4. persone con SM che non abbiano risposto ad almeno una terapia convenzionale

Sono esclusi dalla sperimentazione persone con SM primariamente o secondariamente progressiva o con gravi malattie sistemiche

We are very happy to share the results of our last collaborative study, born in Genoa under the supervision of , about the use of in patients with persistence of activity after two courses.
Ocrelizumab is safe and effective, also in controlling secondary autoimmunity after alemtuzumab.

Treatment of refractory MOG–antibody-associated disease can be challenging. Here, autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (aHSCT) was safe and able to suppress disease-activity for over 2 years.
