D-Heart D-Heart is the first smartphone based electrocardiograph which is pocket size, affordable, clinically reliable and tailored for the patient.

We asked ourselves which is the technology that is widespread both in wealthy and developing countries and which is the most cost/effective tool that we have for the diagnosis of basic cardiovascular diseases? So, we conceived our solution, D-Heart. By integrating the economic sustainability and the scientific accuracy of electrocardiographs with a widespread tool such as mobile connection, we are trying to reinvent the concept of Cardiovascular Screening and widening the range of individuals capable of self-screening. We thereby propose a device, which is simple, cheap and portable that would allow a broader range of previously medically ‘abandoned’ subjects to obtain a proper cardiovascular screening. Everyone, if equipped with a smartphone or tablet would be able to correctly place the electrodes on themselves or a third part, acquire the ECG tracing via Bluetooth and share it remotely at nearest cardiological hospital for the response. What differentiates D-Heart in respect to the competitors is the reliability also in non-expert hands, low cost but particularly portability and efficiency during emergency.
