Today, Prof. Francesco Pappalardo, invited by Dott. Giuseppe F. Catanuto, presented 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐨 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 project at the Humanitas Istituto Clinico Catanese. The institute aims to provide diagnosis and treatment services to promote research and teaching, as well as to ensure access to treatment as quickly as possible.
💻The In Silico World Project aims at accelerating the uptake of modelling and simulation technologies used for the development and regulatory assessment of medicines and medical devices
In line with the Humanitas institute’s desire to promote research, 𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐒-𝐌𝐂 (The Universal Immune System Simulator - Mammary Carcinoma), a solution developed within the In Silico World Project by the Combine Group of the Department of Drug and Health Sciences of the University of Catania, was presented.
𝐔𝐈𝐒𝐒-𝐌𝐂 is a model that simulates the dynamics of the human immune system in breast cancer. If properly validated, it can be used to predict the effect of anti-cancer therapies.
👉Humanitas is particularly interested in the project and in contributing to the development of UISS-MC ISW solution.
