Since my university years I have worked as a free-lance translator and interpreter and in 2007 for about a year I lived in Australia, where I was employed in a independent school as contract Italian lecturer. After my MA I worked for a while as in-house editor, translator and as sales assistant for a renowned international publishing group. Since I wanted to improve my skills and become a full-time translator, I decided to quit my job there to start a freelance career. After attending a Master in Technical and Scientific Translation, where I learnt how to better use resources and glossaries and how to market my own translation business, I eventually realized my dream. As a translator I am specialized in the translation of MARKETING TEXTS, LEAFLETS and ADVERTISING TEXTS and I have worked a lot for the TOURISM industry. For many clients I have localized and edited INTERNET SITES and I have also done a lot of PROOF-READING and PROOF-EDITING of LEGAL and MEDICAL TEXTS.
