Besta NeuroSim Center Training the next generation of neurosurgeons using 3-D virtual reality simulation.The First Center for Training & NeuroSimulation in Europe

Guaranteeing patients’ safety is one of the most intrinsically challenging aspects of medical surgery, especially for the delicate and multifaceted discipline of neurosurgery. This is why the Besta Neurosim Center was created, thanks to donations and loyal sponsors. It is the first center for neurosurgical simulation and training and it is recognized as one of the best-equipped simulation centers in the world, with state of the art neurosurgical simulators such as NeuroTouch, Immersive Touch, Surgical Theater and the 3D anatomical visualizer, Virtual Proteins. These simulators are unique and innovative in their performing tasks and functions. This 3-D virtual reality with tactile sensitivity (haptic feedback) will allow students and neurosurgeons to study, evaluate and practice peculiar or basic interventions in a virtual environment without exposing the patient to risk. Thus the Besta NeuroSim Center’s mission is to propose a revolutionary training method for the new generations of neurosurgeons, and to examine how to achieve performance excellence in surgery through simulation in order to guarantee patient’s safety.

Young neurosurgery residents, LISTEN UP: here at Besta NeuroSim Center you can be part of our PASSION study! You’ll have the unique chance to perform high neurosurgical training in one of the best neurologic institutes of the world, with our next generation simulators.
It's very easy to participate: you just have to send us 3 pre- and post- operation dicom images of your EVDs and at least one video of 3 dura closures with intraoperative microscope (even partial and/or supervised).
It's impossible to find something more challenging, appealing and within reach.

And to top it all off your accomodation in Milan for free. Do not miss it!

Young neurosurgery residents, listen up: here at Besta NeuroSim Center you can be part of our PASSION study! You’ll have the unique chance to perform high neurosurgical training in one of the best neurologic institutes of the world, with our next generation simulators.
To participate it's necessary to send the pre- and post- operation dicom images of your last 3 EVDs and 3 videos of dura sutures at operating microscope (even partial and/or supervised closures are accepted).
And to top it all off your accomodation in Milan is free. Do not miss it!
