In the past year, we’ve seen extraordinary global shifts affect everyone across the world. As spring approaches, we remind ourselves that our lives are full of possibility! if we set up our circumstances well, put in the effort, we can make our highest visions a reality.

Katonah yoga is designed to be threaded on top of other practices, and it’s incredibly pragmatic. These are maps and tools, designed to be used in life. One can weave the magic square, for instance, on top of a mantra practice, or a swimming practice. the metaphors are rich, and constantly developing. When we cross reference with one another, we weave in different perspectives to add richness + resilience.

On this unique retreat, experience how two different teachers cross reference Katonah Yoga into their teachings, studies and practices across a wide landscape of methodology.

Expect to move your body, your breath, and your imagination. This retreat is not focused on theory. This retreat is designed to drive the breath, to get us into our bodies, so we can do whatever it is we came here to do. Expect mantra, pranayama, vinyasa, mobility techniques, and personal growth tools. This retreat is perfect for everyone looking to refine their practice, primed for the insights in winter’s cave.

Set on an organic farm in the beautiful region of Tuscany, in Italy, enjoy fresh organic and nourishing food when the temperature is perfect and whips of summer still linger in the air.

OVERVIEW

We'll be staying at Ebbio Tuscany, an exquisitely restored 12th c. farmhouse, located between Siena and Florence in Monteriggioni. The property sits on a sprawling organic farm, which all our meals will be prepared from. Enjoy everything the heart of Tuscany has to offer; cooking lessons, bike rides through Medieval villages, a river day trip with a picnic lunch, an afternoon looking at art in Florence, a wine tasting evening, ample hiking, etc. etc. Wander to the nearest village, a 15 minute walk away to shop, curl up under an old growth oak and read, or hike/bike throughout the surrounding land.

We are going to create a detailed itinerary, which you will be free to opt in and out of us as much as you please. We'll be practicing in the gorgeous, arched practice space outfitted with all the props and mats at the center of the house. We'll share 9 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, and our retreat will be very intimate and capped at 16 students. We absolutely can't wait!!

Retreat includes:
✅ 6 night Accommodation at Ebbio Tuscany
✅ 2 yoga classes everyday with Jessica and Ilaria, full of sacred geometry vinyasa + mobility, alchemical restoration & breathwork, meditation, hands on adjustments and practical, esoteric dialogue
✅ Coffee, tea and fruit pre-practice, daily
✅ Robust farm to table brunch post-practice, daily
✅ Local, artisanal, vegetarian dinner, 5 nights leaving room for 2 dinners out
✅Wine tasting

✅Journal prompts + discussion on how to create and maintain a home practice

All group activities are optional. Be lazy and hang all day at the gorgeous property or join in for evening!

NOT INCLUDED
- Transportation to and from the retreat center. We recommend renting a car to use for the week. Ebbio can also arrange airport transfer for an extra cost. We can also connect you with other students, to share rides and rental cars as the retreat draws closer.
- 2 dinners out
- Massages and any extra activities you want to do, available to book through Ebbio. Horseback riding, cooking lessons, etc.

TRAVEL INFO
The closest airport is FLORENCE, 60km from the retreat center. The retreat will begin at 4pm with check-in, a travel day first class and our first dinner together. On the 20th, we'll have coffee, do a quick morning practice, have brunch and checkout.

She’s fiery, generous, approaches food with passion and reverence and her accent enchants, charms and beguiles. Moreover, she is an outstanding
yoga teacher - over the course of 7 days, the precision of her cues will create a neurological imprint that revolutionizes your practice.

This is a very deep topic for me, I won’t be able to say everything I’d like to convey in one post 🚨.
•
In my first yoga years, hands on adjustements were a big NO NO. It was a pretty narrow minded way of seeing things, and I am not going to go down that road now.
•
I usually give time to students to figure out for themselves. I believe in powerful verbal cues, I think I made this pretty clear already 👍🏻.
•
But with consent and a deep understanding of the pose and trained eyes (easier said than done!), I love to give and receive adjustements. They can be very transformational and help students access a pose in a different way, they could take some effort and pressure away allowing to be more receptive and orientated. 🧭

🌿 It’s been a hard couple of years for us all.

My good friend and colleague from the States and myself are hosting a wonderful yoga retreat in beautiful rural Tuscany on a restored 13th century farm.
