New team member arriving this October 🤍

When I started Awaken, it was something I was building mostly by myself.
Very intuitively, step by step, following a vision I felt strongly about.

Over time I realised something important: growing something meaningful doesn’t really happen alone.

And now, with a new little team member joining our family soon, I’m also learning that sometimes it’s okay to not do everything by yourself anymore.

Awaken today exists thanks to the people around me.
Friends, family, and beautiful connections who decided to support the project in their own way.

They’re not a “team” in the traditional sense.
But without them, Awaken wouldn’t be becoming what it is today.

So I wanted to introduce a few of the people you might start seeing more often around Awaken 🤍

At the event of Grind Chronicles, our amazing Irene introduced guests to Awaken matcha through tastings and moments of pause alongside the world of grinding and extraction.

The first buds are coming out… 🌱

Depending on the cultivar, the variety of the cultivar and the location of the fields time moves different

Funny enough, higher up the mountains the fields had more buds than at the foot of the mountain.

Tea really is a dance between science and the heart of the farmer.

In some time shading will start and harvest is expected to be a little later this year, towards mid-may.

Because in the region of Shizuoka they have been experiencing a prolonged winter.

It was indeed quite cold 💚
