Ema and Ivan are Co-Founders at Witsense, which aims at improving the life quality of people with learning and developmental disorders and represents the shift from the notion of ‘cure’ to the notion of ‘care’, where monitoring, treatments and therapies are unobtrusive and respectful of the dignity of the individual.

🔎 Emanuela Corti and Ivan Parati are both lecturers at Ajman University, a leading institution in the United Arab Emirates, Comftech, a pioneering Italian wearable tech company specialized in medical grade smart garments, and in EU project Re-Fream .

STARTS in Motion Day is coming soon!

[ STARTS in Motion] 🚀 June 30th at 10.30 am CET!

STARTS in MOTION Day is dedicated to showcase how innovative art-tech projects are shaping the economy of the future and how much the market of transdisciplinary innovation is vibrant in Europe!

🧐 The first session of the Day will focus on the topic of health. Four projects will present their technologies and platforms using art and education for an inclusive approach of healthcare. Through their inspiring pitches, you will have the chance to discover how the art brings an innovative and sensitive perspective to the patients´ treatment.

Today we celebrate World Autism Awarness Day.

Witsense strongly believes that design can improve lives of people and we are working on Sensewear to support people affected by autism and their families.
Sensewear's aim is to sustain people on daily basis, trying to improve their quality of life and promoting social inclusion.

The project consist in the creation of a collection of inclusive clothing and accessories, high-tech design products, that stimulate and emphasize senses awarness to better manage anxiety, stress and panic attacks.

The collection is inspired by therapies applied to sensory processing disorders and has been developed with the technical support of therapists who assist people with autism.

"....getting older has made me wish products like those from Witsense were feely available bothoday, with my arthritis pain and decreased mobility, as well as whenI was younger They might have added a great deal more pleasure and comfort to my sexual and sensual activities.

There’s also the idea that if they’d been around when I was younger, I and so many others dealing with incipent physical concerns could have reduced or possibly aided in eliminating them altogether.

Then, when I was a lonely young man, and particularly now, during these days of social isolation, Lovewear would be a unique way to experience something akin to that most intimate—and human—of touches: a welcoming and supportive hug."
