What does a net zero future look like? 🌍

Earth Day is a moment to reflect on the role we all play in shaping a more sustainable future. At Chiesi, we see this as a long-term commitment and we are working to reduce our environmental impact over time, guided by the ambition to reach net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2035.

Some challenges are visible, others quietly shape everyday life. For people living with , symptoms often influence the rhythm of each day.

During Fabry Disease Month, we’re reminded how meaningful small moments can be. Whether it’s spending time with family, enjoying a hobby, or simply finding a few minutes of stillness, these moments can offer a sense of grounding — the strength needed to face what the disease brings.

Every patient's story is unique. Each one offers a perspective that helps us look beyond clinical needs and better understand the human experience of care.
Listening to patients allows us to notice what might otherwise be missed - where things feel unclear, where support falls short, and what truly makes a difference along the way. These insights guide how we improve, step by step.

Take a moment to listen to the community's voices as they share their experiences throughout their journeys - because understanding begins with listening.

Listening connects us, to each other, to our communities, and to people living with rare diseases around the world.

This , through our immersive “Sound of Rare” experience, colleagues across the globe took a moment to truly listen to the voices and stories of the rare disease community.

Afterward, each person wrote down one key learning. Every note was then linked together to form a paper chain, a visual reminder of how listening brings us closer and strengthens our connection as a global community.

Tackling climate-related respiratory disease means tackling inequality.

The most vulnerable communities breathe dirtier air, face longer allergy seasons, and often miss early diagnosis. Non-physiological factors—income, housing, occupation, education, access to care and local air quality—have the greatest influence on lung health.

While pollution remains Europe’s biggest environmental health challenge, we have the power to change that.
By acting now, Europe can lead the way with cleaner cities, stronger health systems, and safer workplaces—helping to prevent asthma and COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and protect those most at risk. Together, we can turn this challenge into progress.

Understanding patients' needs is the starting point for real innovation in healthcare.

At Chiesi, the Patient Journey framework is central to our patient-driven approach. It helps us map every step, from the awareness of health conditions and risk factors to diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.

By capturing not only the patient’s experience but also the perspectives of all stakeholders involved, it enables us to co-create integrated, sustainable solutions that go beyond the product.
