is a leading European manufacturer of medical devices. We offer three product lines dedicated to eye & tissue banking, ophthalmic surgery and ocular diagnostics. Eye banking solutions include medical devices for corneal storage at 4 and 31°C, solutions for globe and corneal rinsing and devices for corneal evaluation. Tissue banking products are solutions designed for tissue and cell decontamination and cryopreservation. The complete Alchimia line dedicated to ophthalmic surgery consists of an innovative corneal protection gel, dyes for the anterior and posterior segment, ophthalmic gases for repeat use, perfluorocarbons and silicone oils. Our most recent line is dedicated to ocular diagnostics by contact intended for outpatient clinics.

🔬 Exciting Update! Moreno Piaia, R&D Fondazione Banca degli Occhi del Veneto Onlus, shared the results of our study in collaboration with FBOV and Moria Surgical at The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) in Vienna, Austria.

We aimed to optimize DMEK graft preparation using innovative hypothermic storage media. 🌡️

Objective: Evaluate new corneal storage solutions from ALCHIMIA Srl for DMEK graft preparation. 🏥

Results: Rapid, successful graft preparation with perfectly preserved endothelial viability and no need for a corneal deswelling phase. A significant breakthrough in eye banking and corneal transplantation! 👁️‍🗨️
