While everyone has their own limitations, your health and life are not set in stone.
You get to decide whether your daily choices lead you towards or away from health.
We aren't here to shame or guilt you into change. But we would love to help you make changes that can change the course of your health, and in turn your life.

You have WAY more strength than you think you have ❤️❤️

If you’re always worried about getting smaller, weighing less and trying to burn more calories, you are missing out on the growth.

You’re missing out on building a body that’s strong and functional. You miss out on creating shape and curves. You miss out on improving physical strength, metabolism and muscular endurance.
If you have a solid foundation of muscle, it’s easier to get leaner and stay lean. Resistance training (lifting weights) is also amazing for your bones, posture, and mental health!

If you’re in a strength training rut, or don’t know where to start (you don’t even need equipment, nor do you need to be local!), send us a DM and we’ll share our affordable coaching options!

My grandpa is cooler than your grandpa 😎
But really! He’s working on squats too and is proud that he can touch his toes- where most people his age can’t. I’ll add that his mental capacity is incredible as well.
I wanna be like him when I grow up 😄

Supplements are the least important aspect of a health journey, and are largely just a way to get your money.
That’s not to say they don’t serve any purpose. Caffeine does help energy and I do take a pre-workout most days.
Protein bars and powders are convenient and helpful for hitting macronutrient goals and to preserve muscle.
Certain vitamins are necessary for a lot of people with gaps in their diet.
But most other things are just costly fads.
Nothing can substitute for a decent diet and putting in the work 💪

Get fidgeting!! For real, it sounds almost too silly or too simple, but I’m convinced I have MUCH more flexibility with my imperfect diet BECAUSE I move a lot. I don’t really hold still. I sprint up the stairs instead of walk up them. I don’t even think about it, I’ve just always been in the habit of moving.
I realize this is difficult if you’ve got a desk job and have to sit a lot of the day. Make use of your breaks! Park further away, get a standing desk.
These little things DO add up, burn more calories, and are not huge lifestyle changes 🖤

Heres one of the conflicting and confusing messages you’ll see on social media about health:

It is vital to wear sunscreen everyday because it protects from harmful rays that lead to skin cancer.
AND
Nearly all sunscreens contain harmful ingredients that soak into your skin, disrupting hormones. The sun is healthy and NOT harmful.

Alright so what it is? What is one to do? 😩

We recommend following trusted sources and evidence-based claims. If you don’t quite know, it’s okay to practice thinking critically, with rationale. A small dose of skepticism is healthy, with any claim.
Ask yourself: “is this a fear tactic? Does this person have something to gain by making this claim? What do regulated health organizations say about this issue? And what makes sense for ME and my lifestyle?”

We usually choose a reasonable middle ground, and balance. For the record, yes the sun is necessary for vitamin D among all the other things, but also please wear sunscreen 😎

Hi friends! Reporting from Italy! 🙌
Just some random thoughts about health I’ve had on this trip, as I’ve eaten allllll the pizza and pasta and gelato for 2 weeks straight 😅 with NO regrets!!
I just want to reiterate that true health is the absence of disease and pain… the ability to move, feel and live freely while enjoying this world.
We get soooo caught up in little things- what we should or shouldnt be eating. Did I get enough workouts in this week?
How does my body look?

I’m normally a pretty active person, and have always been “healthy.” But on this trip, my lower back has hurt a lot and it’s reminded me that I need to work on my posture, keep strengthening my core, and be better at stretching. The presence of ab definition does not matter. I admit I do care about how I look- but if I’m uncomfortable or feeling pain, what’s the priority?

Also- carbs do not make you fat. Because I have eaten A LOT with the rest of Italy and I think we’re all doin just fine 😄 Pizza makes me happy and that’s a key element in my health protocol ;)

Sorry not sorry.
We still see it allllll the time.
Our motto has always been: eat whole foods as best you can, move your body, and find what BALANCE means for you, and then be consistent.

Some of this week’s headlines. This is scary, and maybe I’ve been naive to think we were heading in the right direction, but apparently we are not 🥴
We know obesity is very complicated, and we would NEVER shame those who struggle with their weight.
Highest factors for obesity have now become children and lower income countries. 😔
We don’t have the answers, as it is a complex issue. But awareness is a good first step.
What do you feel is to blame for the decades-long obesity epidemic? Are individuals, societies, or governments part of the solution? Tell us your thoughts in the comments !👇
