Unless you’ve birthed a baby, breastfed, or pumped I really don’t give a flying f*ck what you think about breastfeeding.
If you’ve never had to pump at work, in a bathroom, or closet.
If you’ve never cried over spilled milk or experienced the worry of your supply dipping.
Struggled to figure out how you’re gonna fit enough pumps into a busy work day to keep up with your babies needs.
If you’ve never had mastitis, a milk bleb, clogged ducts, or cracked/bleeding ni***es.
If you’ve never had to wash and sanitize a million pump parts multiple times a day.
If you haven’t lost an entire nights worth of sleep due to cluster feeding and chest spasms.
Then you don’t get a say on breastfeeding.
Sure, the milk itself may be monetarily free, but it’s not “free”.
It’s a labor intensive act of love.
It’s thousands of hours of dedication.
It’s not for everyone.
It’s also not possible for every woman.
& it sure as hell shouldn’t be pushed on anyone.
Especially in a country where we don’t provide paid maternity leave as standard.
So no RFK or any man for that matter…we don’t want to hear what you think about breastfeeding.
