As the year slowly comes to its final weeks, this feels like a good moment to pause and reflect.

It has been an intense and meaningful year.

In July, we opened the doors of our new Plastic Surgery Clinic: a space that already represents a major step forward and that will continue to grow in the coming months with the addition of dedicated operating rooms.

At the same time, we’ve been working behind the scenes on major educational projects, including The New Frontiers of Face Lifting 2026, which is steadily taking shape for next May.

Most importantly, this year has been defined by the trust of hundreds of patients who chose to begin their journey with us. Each case, each consultation, each surgical plan has contributed to shaping not only results, but vision.

There is still work to be done and that’s exactly how it should be!

Today we reviewed this patient again, operated in September 2024: a case that perfectly reflects the value of a personal, anatomically guided approach.

By combining my Temporal MORE technique with a canthoplasty, we repositioned the lower eyelid and lateral canthus, correcting a severe ectropion without the need for skin grafts or flap procedures.

Targeted fat grafting completed the reconstruction by restoring structural volume and improving the appearance of the scars.

This weekend marked the conclusion of the first year of the International Second-Level University Master’s in Functional and Aesthetic Surgery of the Nose and Face in Turin.

It has been an outstanding journey - months filled with lectures, live surgeries, hands-on training, anatomical insights, discussions, collaborative learning, and a shared commitment to elevating our discipline.

Throughout this year, we’ve built a strong and motivated community of professionals dedicated to advancing both the functional and aesthetic aspects of facial surgery. The level of engagement, curiosity, and commitment from each participant has been remarkable.

A heartfelt thank you to my Co-Director Prof. Giancarlo Pecorari, to the University of Turin, COREP, Dr. Alberto Diaspro, Dr. Gloria Marchese, EAFPS, and to all the experts and colleagues who contributed their time, expertise, and energy across the various modules throughout the year.

A special thank you to Dr. Saban and Dr. Beut for joining me as examiners during the final sessions - your contribution added great value to this closing chapter.

To all the fellows, colleagues, speakers, and staff involved in this first edition: thank you for your dedication and passion. This year has been just the beginning.

The final exams are now complete, marking the end of year one and the beginning of even more ambitious chapter ahead.
