We often try to change how we feel by changing the internal
What we eat, how we’re moving… but our bodies are also constantly responding to something much quieter: environment.
Our nervous system is always on alert for sights, sounds, smells, sensations, all in the name of protecting us, but it can overwhelm our nervous system.
There’s a lot to process, and sometimes a chaotic and cluttered environment creates a chaotic and cluttered feeling internal world!
It’s so important for us to pause, and think about what our body responds to in our environment (and to do this regularly, as it can fluctuate)
Do we need to step outside into natural light, soften our space (lighting, sound, texture), or even just go somewhere completely different?!
