When someone dies, the shock and emotion can make even simple tasks feel overwhelming.

Knowing what to do next can offer a small sense of reassurance at a very difficult time.

In the first instance, the death will need to be confirmed by a medical professional. As soon as possible after a death, the next of kin must appoint a Funeral Director to manage the funeral arrangements and the registration of death on behalf of the family.
