WORLD COPD DAY 2022

COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease ( Emphysema , chronic bronchitis and chronic asthma) has risen to become the third leading cause of death worldwide.

Across Jersey more than 2000 people have been diagnosed with Moderate to Severe COPD and we believe that there are many more patients without diagnosis. Despite its prevalence and considerable cost to healthcare systems, COPD is relatively unknown by the public.

Patients can develop severe or very disease before they consult a healthcare professional. It is therefore important to identify patients at risk of COPD and check their lung function, since early stage disease is often without symptoms.

The Respiratory Nurse Specialist Team are offering a free simple blowing test for anyone with history of Smoking, shortness of breath, chronic cough and phlegm.

We will be in King Street ( Charing - Cross)
On Wednesday 16th November from 10:30am -2:30pm.

Today, we raise awareness for World COPD Day
