Pardon our dust (and the occasional hammer drill), but we’re officially in refurb mode! 🛠️

We are giving a section of the shop a serious glow-up to make your Hapi experience even better.

While we work on these exciting improvements, things might look a little messy and get a bit noisy for a short while.

Meet Matt, our Hapi owner!

Any hobbies
My parents used to say I was like a dog. Throw a ball and I'll chase it. I love anything to do with sport, I prefer playing it to watching it but I do love watching the 6 nations. If I don't play at least one sport daily, I feel that day is wasted. Surfing, golf, tennis and the gym are the current sports.
Even better if I can do those sports with friends and family

Something customers don't know about me?
I was a grade 8 viola player and in the National Children's orchestra

What's next for Hapi?
We are currently refreshing the store's look and experience and launching a new website. 2026 will be a big year as we introduce 4 new brands. I am also working with the team on several new projects in the wellness sector and developing our own brand

Music
I have very varied music taste from rock to indie to classical.
I Love songs that tell a proper story and portray emotion, whether it be anger, sadness, happiness, inspiration or love.

Coffee or tea?
I hate both, love the idea of them but hate the taste.

Any pets?
Not currently but we do help look after our friends dogs when they are away. Bumi, Penga, Guinness and Bindi

With Easter fast approaching we just wanted to confirm our opening times for the Easter weekend

We will be closed on Good Friday (3rd) & Easter Monday (6th), but we’ll be open as usual on Saturday (4th)

Any Hobbies?
Cooking to de-stress after a day at work, watching classic horror movies, reading (especially rock star autobiographies), listening to music or going to gigs, being creative and just being outside (having a cheeky pint in the sun)

Something customers might not know about you?
I’ve worked on a shark cage diving boat in South Africa, carried out scientific research on Whale Sharks in the Maldives and looked after an octopus at the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth

Brands you look after in store?
Bleubird and Stance (I do love the Stance socks)

Favourite workout song?
When I workout (which is more of an idea than a reality) I prefer to listen to hard rock or 80s bangers and then chill out to a bit of Fleetwood Mac if I’ve had a bad day.

Coffee or tea?
Tea - no milk, no sugar

Any pets?
Momo the chihuahua puppy I share with my girlfriend (who says that we both have the same facial expressions)

Meet Maria!

Any hobbies?
I love spending time in nature, being part of my community and connecting with family and friends. I enjoy yoga and running, and I’m really interested in reading about wellbeing, mindfulness and personal growth. I also love writing in my free time

Something customers might not know about you?
I completed my yoga teacher training in India while travelling, and that’s where I completely fell in love with the country and its culture

I look after Vivobarefoot in store. I also work on the weekly newsletter and help with a few other exciting projects that we’re hoping to share with you all very soon! 🙃

Favourite workout song?
That’s a hard one because it changes almost every week! 😂 At the moment I’ve been listening to Breath in, let go by Aurenza and Rudimental

Favourite shoe in store?

It depends on the day! I love a cappuccino with extra hot milk and cinnamon on top or a matcha with coconut milk 😋

Not at the moment, but we’d love to have a dog someday. For now, we feel lucky that we can even keep a plant alive at home! 🤣
