🌟 Above & Beyond at Cambrette Care 🌟

We’re incredibly proud to recognise Buhle, who has received our latest Above & Beyond nomination following exceptional feedback from a member of the public.

A parishioner took the time to write to us after witnessing Buhle support one of our long-standing clients during a church visit. She described the care as being of the highest standard, praising Buhle’s dignity, professionalism and kindness and the way she supported the client to maintain their independence.

The feedback came from a registered nurse with more than 30 years’ experience, who said Buhle was “one of the best in action I have ever seen” and “a great ambassador for your agency and a great healthcare worker.”

Moments like this remind us why the work our carers do every day matters so much. Congratulations, Buhle, and thank you for representing the very best of Cambrette Care. 💙

🦠 FLU SEASON REMINDER 🦠

As flu season arrives earlier than usual this year, we’re taking extra care to protect the people we support - and the carers who look after them every day.

To help keep everyone safe, we kindly ask family members and visitors to work with us on a few simple precautions:

1. Please only visit when you’re feeling well 👍
If you have flu-like symptoms, a cough, cold or fever, we ask that you delay visiting until you’re better.

2. Hand hygiene really matters 🤲
Please wash your hands thoroughly or use hand gel when visiting. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect vulnerable people.

3. Masks when needed 😷
If your loved one is unwell, or if a carer asks you to wear a mask, please do so. Masks are a helpful precaution during flu season.

4. Flu vaccination 💉
We strongly encourage flu vaccination for carers, clients and close family members where possible. The flu vaccine does not cause flu - this is a common myth - but it does reduce the risk of severe illness and complications.

At Cambrette Care, protecting our clients and carers is always our priority. These small, thoughtful actions help us continue delivering safe, high-quality care throughout the winter months.

At Cambrette Care, 'family business' isn’t just a phrase - it’s who we are!

Beth leads Cambrette as Director, supported by her husband Paul, our HR Manager. Their son Charlie works on the frontline as our Assistant Care Manager, helping to support clients every day.

And today’s Cambrette radio adverts were recorded by the next generation too - Beth and Paul’s daughter Rosie, along with Edward, their nephew (Rosie & Charlie's cousin), who are both professional actors.

It really is a family effort! 💙

At Cambrette Care, we are lucky to work with an incredible team of carers who bring skill, dignity and compassion into people’s lives every single day.

Recently, a member of our team received heartfelt praise from a parishioner who witnessed her supporting a gentleman arriving for a church service. She described the carer’s professionalism, kindness and care as 'truly of the highest standard' - noting how respectfully she assisted him from the car, ensured his safety, and helped him maintain as much independence as possible.

The message also shared that, after 34 years working in healthcare, this was 'one of the best examples of care' she had seen. High praise from someone who understands the work so well.

Feedback like this means the world to us - and we are incredibly proud of our team for the difference they make each day.

Thank you to the parishioner who took the time to write in, and to all our carers for the dedication you bring to our community. 💙

Today, on White Ribbon Day, Cambrette Care joins people around the world in raising awareness and taking a stand against violence towards women. This day serves as a reminder that we all have a role to play in creating a safer, more respectful world.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. We reflect on their courage, dedication, and the freedoms we cherish because of them.

At Cambrette Care, we also recognise the strength of those who lived through times of conflict, and we are proud to support those in our community who continue to carry these memories.

🔥 Happy Bonfire Night from Cambrette Care! 🔥

As we gather to enjoy fireworks, bonfires, and festive fun, it’s important to remember that not everyone finds this night as exciting - especially those who are elderly, living alone, or have pets who may be frightened by the noise.

Here are a few simple ways we can be considerate:

🎇 Let your neighbours know if you’re planning a display so they can prepare.
🐾 Keep pets indoors and offer a safe, quiet space for them to feel secure.
👂 Be mindful of noise levels, especially later in the evening.

Bonfire Night is a time for celebration, but it’s also a great opportunity to spread kindness and care in our community. Let’s make it an enjoyable evening for everyone!
