Thanks and congratulations to the Jersey Hyperbaric Treatment Centre for entering and winning the JERS competition for three people to attend a one day EFR Primary and Secondary Care Certification course at the weekends FitRock Health Expo 2015. Accidents and illnesses happen every day. Some people need only a helping hand while others may suffer serious permanent injuries without help. By becoming an Emergency First Responder your skills can render important care to those in need. There are a range of Emergency First Response courses for you to choose from or simply contact us to talk about the best course for you, your family & friends, and work colleagues.

Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR):

This popular course teaches participants how to respond to life-threatening emergencies. The course focuses on primary care through a combination of knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice to make sure participants have the confidence in their ability to provide care when emergency situations arise.

Emergency First Response Secondary Care (First Aid):

This popular course covers injuries or illnesses that are not immediately life threatening. Participants focus on secondary assessment and first aid through knowledge development, skill development and realistic scenario practice.

Emergency First Response Care for Children:

This course is an innovative CPR, AED and First Aid training course that teaches participants how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less than one year old.

Our Emergency First Response region-specific courses include comprehensive instruction in Primary Care (CPR), AED use and Secondary Care (First Aid) and meet regulatory body requirements.

Have you ever asked yourself, what if one of your family or friends are choking, have an accident or a heart attack and you are there, you don't know how to help and you don't what to do. How would you feel?

(JERS) Jersey Emergency Response Services are now here in Jersey to help you help others in case of an emergency and to create confidence to care.

The EFR courses are relaxed and are not time based. So you can enjoy learning at your own pace.
An instructor is available almost all year around so you don't have to wait for courses.
(JERS) provide tailor made courses, Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), AED with CPR (Automated External Defibrillator) and Care For Children. The EFR courses are taught separately however they can be combined to suit your needs.

The EFR courses run on a one or two day bases depending on certain factors.
You will be provided with barriers, a participants manual and video, with the use of top of the range emergency training equipment.

The EFR courses consist of written knowledge development, Instructor led skill development, scenarios and a final exam.

Each course is now running at rate of £60 per person with no hidden costs.

If you would feel more comfortable, the EFR instructor led courses can be taught to you in the comfort of your own home by an EFR qualified instructor.

Once completed, participants will receive an EFR certificate of completion and an EFR responder Card.

A refresher course will be required after a period of 24 months.
