Watching students grow is one of the best parts of STEM Racing 💡🏎️

In our latest podcast, Matt Tabb and Rory Steel from C5 Alliance Group sat down with our Innovation Manager, Charlie Miles to discuss how students shared how students start with a “let’s do it now” mindset and learn that working together is what really makes progress happen.

After an exciting Secondary Regional, we are now looking ahead to the Primary STEM Racing Regional, just over a month away. Younger students across the island are already designing, building and testing their very first mini F1 cars, building confidence, creativity and teamwork along the way.

We’re excited to welcome Katie King to the Digital Jersey Annual Review.

On Thursday 5 February 2026, Katie joins us at Cineworld Jersey to speak about AI and the future of work, with a clear focus on what organisations need to do next.

Katie is a Top 10 Influencer in AI, a published author, and a global advisor on AI adoption. She works with leaders across technology, the public sector and financial services, and sits on the UK Government APPG task force for AI adoption. Expect practical insight, real examples, and an honest view of how AI is already shaping work and decision-making.

The Annual Review brings our community together to reflect on 2025 and set priorities for the year ahead.

Finding the right mortgage in Jersey hasn’t been easy. 🏡

Our member Blue Llama has launched Swoop.je, a mortgage comparison site built specifically for Jersey using an AI-first approach.

Swoop brings together mortgage products from every on-island lender in one place, so Islanders can compare rates side by side in seconds. There are no brokers involved, no hidden bias, and it’s free to use. Rates are updated daily and users can enquire directly with lenders through the site.

Swoop was built using vibe coding, where AI generates software instead of developers writing code line by line. AI is also used across the platform, including keeping lender data current and powering Morty, an AI mortgage assistant that helps users understand their options in plain terms.

This launch shows how AI is changing what can be built for a small local market like Jersey.

Help inspire the next generation of engineers in Jersey 🏎️

We are looking for judges to support our STEM Racing Primary Regional Event on Friday 27 February 2026.

If you work in technology, engineering, design or education, this is a great way to give back and support STEM learning across the Island.

This is the first year Digital Jersey has introduced the STEM Racing programme for primary schools, giving pupils aged 9–11 a hands-on introduction to design and engineering as they build and race their own mini F1-style cars.

Impact Jersey ‘CareTech’ grant to help provide enhanced support for people with dementia

A digitally-driven programme for people newly diagnosed with dementia is to be piloted in Jersey thanks to a grant to Dementia Jersey through the Impact Jersey ‘CareTech Challenge’ Programme, which is delivered by Digital Jersey.

This latest pilot project is a further example of progress being made in Jersey to leverage technology to support the Island’s long-term healthcare needs, aligned with the objectives of Jersey’s digital health strategy.
