Due to Storm Goretti and for safety reasons, Jersey Post will not be offering a courier service tomorrow Friday 9th.
As a result, our practice will be unable to send blood and specimen collections to the hospital.

𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗽𝗼𝘅 𝗩𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 – 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝘆 🩺

Jersey is following NHS England and will introduce the chickenpox vaccine from January 2026.

👶 The vaccine will be given in two doses at 12 and 18 months, combined with the existing MMR vaccine (measles, mumps and rubella) as a single MMRV vaccine.

🛡️ The rollout aims to reduce chickenpox cases, protect children from serious complications, and cut down on time parents need to take off work. For some children, this vaccine could be lifesaving.

🆓 The vaccination will be free and part of the routine childhood immunisation schedule.

Eligible children will receive the MMRV vaccine from their GP. If you have any questions, please contact the surgery.
