Thank you thank you 🫶🏽

It’s been 4 years since I opened my Yoga Teacher Training School and every year I’m blown away 🤯

The dedication and commitment my students show is so amazing.

It’s hard, it’s over whelming, it’s exhausting on all levels but it’s worth every second.

They’ve had 5 theory exams, created a 6 week course, taught a class from it and the finale was a 30 minute beginners class (apparently this was the most challenging), constructive feedback was given with key points to carry them forward.

My expectations are high, I respect my industry immensely I take great responsibility in ensuring my students leave with the right awareness and understanding of what teaching yoga entails, as I said this is not about shapes it’s about intention, respect and understanding of how we can use yoga as a tool to not only enhance our own lives but how we can all become better humans 🫶🏽🫶🏽🫶🏽

Respect to all teachers and schools who uphold these values ❤️❤️

And finally, thank you so much to who have looked after us as always for the last 6 months, I love you all ❤️❤️❤️🥰

Wtaf 🤣 sh** the bed, no other point to this picture other than I was loading Bob back into the car to take him home to our HQ and when I strapped him in I thought wtf this looks mental 🤣🤣🤣 anyways the TT group have smashed their anatomy modules so he is now officially on leave till next time, think he looks delighted with himself xx shame about the missing teeth 🤣👌🏽 looks like he’s just been on a wild weekend in beefs 🥳🥳🤣

So sad to read this and again highlights how you must do your research before selecting any yoga teacher training, however, the exercises this lady was asked to do should not even form part of a teacher training, you are there to learn how to teach not to resolve any underlying trauma. That is for students to do under the guidance of a mental health professional and potentially yoga as a support.

This is why we need to raise standards and better inform students on what a yoga teacher training should be offering.

I met many students in India who have sadly experienced the same events as this lady, just because the training is based in India does not mean its quality or authentic. These course are accredited by YA.org who have very low standards for training schools.

For anyone interested in training refer to Yoga Professionals instead, this body have stringent standards and courses are reviewed and checked before you can even think about offering them.

Rant over but it really does wind me up 🙈🙈

Well done to this young lady, let’s hope her voice is heard.

We cannot continue with the length and time it takes to support our young people, it’s unethical and unacceptable.

Investment is needed and it needs to be prioritised.

Sadly I’m seeing such high numbers through my little doors, we have the potential to be a leading centre when it comes to mind care and support and there are health professionals out there willing to offer solutions, now is the time to listen and acknowledge before it’s too late 🫶🏽

Men are welcome at all our meet ups, but we know often you feel like you need to be the supporter rather than the one being supported. This is why we have teamed up with the brilliant Man Club to create a space just for men facing fertility struggles. Whether you need to talk, or just want to listen, this is a chance to meet others who get it too.

✨ Community Meet Up – Thursday 25th September - 6pm, The Oasis Lounge

Join Chloé and Aurélie to meet with others, ask questions and seek support with others who understand. This group is open to anyone - men and women - navigating fertility challenges and Aurélie our wonderful qualified counsellor, will be on hand to offer support and guidance throughout.
