Dear God, thank You for another day. Your mercies really are new every morning, and I’m grateful for all of it. Today, I’m praying that I can be a real example of Your love to everyone I come across. Your word in Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” God, I want my words to bring healing instead of hurt. I’ll be honest… on my own, this isn’t always easy. My human side wants to react, defend myself, and hold onto the things from the past that have wounded me. But I know that through Your Spirit, I can choose kindness. Give me the strength to choose peace, especially when it’s hard. Help me forgive the way You’ve taught me to forgive. Help me walk in love even when that love isn’t given back to me. With You by my side, I know I can do this. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. -1 John 3:18
