What began as hands-on care became a lifelong practice of listening, learning, and walking alongside others.

I’m deeply grateful for every client, colleague, teacher, and friend who has been part of this journey.

As I mark this milestone, I’m stepping into Mastery in Motion — creating intentional spaces for clients, caregivers, and therapists to learn, grow, and be supported.

Elastic taping can be a powerful tool in Lymphoedema Management — helping to direct lymphatic flow, reduce swelling, and support comfort after surgery.

Here, taping was used to guide drainage from the underarm and side of the breast toward the inguinal and opposite axillary nodes for a client post-mastectomy.

The journey of life takes us in such unexpected places...it is always so important to think about the trail you leave along the journey. My life journey had me first connecting with in high school and later now in our lives at gatherings with friends from school, supporting her process in the writing of her book "A River Flows Through Us" (Make sure you link her for your copy!) and now supporting her on the latest part of her journey..being diagnosed with breast cancer.

It has been my honour to be able to not just create the space along wirh for her to share her story from a place of empowerment but to be trusted by her to do so.

Thank you Sharifa for answering the call to be a beacon of light for others and reminding us that all Stories along the Breast Cancer Continuum of Care need to be shared not just during the month of October but Beyond.
