After the Holter found what every ECG missed, I did a same-day consult with the cardiologist who read my report.
He told me what no one else had — I was a heartbeat away from something irreversible.

That night, I joined HIC Cares Urgent — JMD 45,000 a year — because I never want to wait until it’s too late again.

Now I have 24/7 access to urgent care doctors, unlimited testing*, and up to $10,000 in medication and lab tests every visit.
I can even add my family for just $30,000 each — because peace of mind shouldn’t be a luxury.

The Holter saved my life.
HIC Cares makes sure I keep it. 💚

👉 Call HIC today. Don’t wait for a scare to start caring.

“…at the shelter ….that doctor say one man surely to die, he has diabetes and cuts that will get infected, man can’t get no meds…”

Join Operation Heart Reach – Hope in Action

Together, we can save lives and rebuild Jamaica.

Hurricane Melissa has left a deep mark on Jamaica’s western parishes — destroying homes, damaging hospitals and clinics, and cutting families off from essential care. While the Western Regional Health Authority (WRHA), PAHO, and the Red Cross have launched initial relief operations in St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland, many communities in Manchester, Trelawny, St. James, and Hanover are still without medical support.

Operation Heart Reach – Hope in Action, led by the HIC Foundation, is calling on doctors, nurses, medical students, and caring civilians to join our volunteer mission. Together, we’ll bring free, high-impact one-day medical clinics to underserved communities — providing:

Acute and chronic illness management
Maternal and child health care
Mental health triage and support
Point-of-care testing and essential screenings
Every patient will receive a 14-day supply of vital medications, while supplies last.

Now more than ever, your hands, skills, and compassion can make a difference.

Join us in restoring hope, rebuilding health, and renewing lives across western Jamaica.

Hurricane Melissa caused widespread disruption across Jamaica’s western parishes,
damaging health infrastructure, displacing families, and cutting access to essential services.
While the Western Regional Health Authority (WRHA), PAHO, and the Red Cross have
concentrated their early interventions in St Elizabeth and Westmoreland, neighboring
parishes — Manchester, Trelawny, St James, and Hanover — continue to experience unmet
medical need.

Operation Heart Reach – Hope in Action, led by the HIC Foundation, mobilizes
local and international volunteer physicians to deliver high-impact, one-day fixed-site
medical clinics including acute illness management, chronic disease care, maternal/child
health, mental health triage, and point-of-care testing. Health education covers hygiene,
vector control, nutrition, and stress management. Each patient receives a 14-day medication
supply.

🌪️⛈️💔 In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, Jamaica is facing one of its toughest moments. As we care for those affected, we’re reminded of how vital strength, compassion, and preparedness are — in every part of life.

Before the storm, Reggae Boy Richard King joined the Heart Institute of the Caribbean to advocate for heart health and access to world-class cardiac care. That message feels even more powerful now:
