The Caribbean Institute of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (CARIMENSA) is a Primary Prevention Institution within the Faculty of Medical Sciences with supportive relationships to the Section of Psychiatry in the Department of Community Health and Psychiatry, University of the West Indies (Mona). The Executive Director of CARIMENSA is Professor Emeritus Frederick W. Hickling of the Department of Community Health and Psychiatry. We offer a wide range of services in the areas of Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Community Outreach and Interventions, Cultural Therapy, Training and Workshops.
