Children; ESPECIALLY teenagers HAVE a perspective/opinions. STOP shutting them down and up!! We ALL need to be validated and affirmed, and if we dont get it in one way, we try to get it in another way. Children in particular, often "act out" in their bid to be seen and heard, when they dont feel as if they are getting what they need to feel loved and understood. PLEASE give them an ear and the space to express themselves & tap tell dem fi sshh, guh siddung & dem chat tuhmuch. We often have the audacity to wait on only the percieved big things to celebrate, when we have ZERO idea how long we have here. Celebrate yourself often. Heck, sometimes just SURVIVING the day is WORTH celebration; ESPECIALLY when YOU know what YOU have been and ARE going through. That, and celebrations dont have to be elaborate or expensive, they can simply be purposekl carving out me time, or INTENTIONAL recalling and acknowledging YOUR sucesses. Dweet man (MC).

Mothers, you DON'T have more rights to your child because biology has made you the carrier. Stop using children as pawns to punish their fathers, as all this does is create adults who will need to recover from their childhood. The beef you have with the paternal part of their DNA has NOTHING to do with them, and the dangerous game you are playing with their well-being only serves to NEGATIVELY affect them. TOO many folks, BOTH men and women, with daddy issues. PLEASE work out your issues and LEARN to co-parent in a healthy way, instead of CONTINUOUSLY harming your offspring (MC).
