Caribbean Institute For Health Research Formerly TMRI The Caribbean Institute for Health Research is a primary health research institute of the University of the West Indies.

Formerly TMRI, The Caribbean Institute for Health Research is the primary health research institute of the University of the West Indies. The main role of the institute is to collect high quality research that can inform health policy, programmes and health care delivery for global populations. CAIHR is comprised of four Units - The Sickle Cell Unit (SCU), The Epidemiology Research Unit (ERU), The Tropical Metabolism Research Unit (TMRU) and the Barbados-based George Alleyne Chronic Disease Research Centre (GA-CDRC).
