The answer might surprise you as soon as two teeth touch! 👶🏽

Once your child’s teeth begin to sit side by side, food and plaque can get trapped between them. That’s when flossing becomes important to help prevent cavities and keep their gums healthy.

At first, parents should assist with flossing daily (especially before bedtime). As your child’s coordination improves, you can begin teaching them how to floss on their own usually around ages 6–8 with supervision.

Healthy habits start early… and little smiles deserve big care! 💙
