As we seek to overcome the challenges of this CoVID -19 pandemic , we implore you all to adhere to all the recommended safety measures. Please wear your mask ensure it cover the nose and mouth as the Ministry of health reminds us better the mask than the ventilator. Wash hands when visibly dirty use a sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol. Cover your cough with a tissue and discard the tissue in a bin, and remember to stay at least 6 feet from the other. Let us take care of each other. This too shall past.

The heat is on this summer is predicted to be one of the hottest Jamaica has ever seen. Here are some tips for you to be mindful of while having outdoors fun.
To prevent dehydration, drink plenty of water and electrolyte rich drinks like jelly coconut water and sport drinks.
Avoid excess caffeine and alcohol as they may increase the likelihood of dehydration.
Cool your lotion in the refrigerator and use it to soothe hot tired feet.
Fill a spray bottle with water store in the fridge and give your face a refreshing spurt as you head out doors for some fun. Finally don't forget your sunscreen.

Hurricane Matthew is upon us are you perpare? Preparation is the best protection against the serious property damage,injury and possible lost of life that can result from a hurricane.Here are some points to remember:
Store at least one week of medication.Keep medication in original containers.Have a list of current medications.Consider double bagging medication to to protect against water damage.

The storage container should be water proof,and easy to identify it should be at a location that is easy to get in an emergency .Ideally it should be a plastic container or a tote bag.

Diabetics should ensure they have glucose test strip and lancets monitor battery in addition to medication for those on insulin consider an igloo with ice or ice packs to adequately store insulin in case of power outages

Other medication to consider would be antihistamines for allergy ,acetaminophen for pain and fever, rehydration salts for diarrhea bandages gauze tape antiseptic or antibiotic ointment ,hydrocortisone cream and MOST importantly CLEAN DRINKING WATER.
