Jamaica,
With Hurricane Melissa approaching Jamaica, I want to reach out personally.
We are a community that looks out for one another, and right now the most important thing is your SAFETY and PEACE OF MIND.
Storms can shake our routines and raise anxiety. Even small disruptions can feel heavy. It is NORMAL to feel unsettled. You are not alone in that.
Here are a few simple things that can help you stay grounded and prepared over the coming days:
Make sure your essentials are in one place: water, medications, phone chargers, flashlights, important documents.
Stay connected with the people who matter to you.
Give yourself permission to rest when you can.
If stress rises, breathe slowly and pray . A calm mind helps you think clearly.
Our team will remain available by phone and online as long as communication lines allow. If you need anything related to your wellness plan or appointments, reach out and we will support you. (In an absolute emergency, find a safe way to access essential healthcare providers, or your nearest hospital.)
We will get through this as a community. Take wise precautions, check on those around you, and hold on to the steady truth that storms pass (Mark 4:39).
Stay safe and stay encouraged.
Warm regards,
Dr. Andre J. Williams
