Case study of a 17 year old with a history of ingrown toenails. She had a procedure carried out on her right great toe 3 years ago to remove an ingrown nail. This was carried out by a general surgeon and sadly she lost her toe as a result. This was due to poor technique and limiting her blood supply. She was very apprehensive seeking medical help 3 years later when one appeared on her left foot. She attended my office with her mother and by following proper protocol and procedures the surgery was successfully carried out without any mishaps. So unfortunate to see someone so young lose a toe but glad I was able to gain her trust. Happy patient, happy feet.👣
