We’re excited to welcome Dr. Munir Abu-Helalah, Associate Professor of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, University of Jordan to our team at Medcore Clinics at King Hussein Business Park. Dr. Abu-Helalah holds a PhD and fellowship in Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine from St Barts and the Royal London School of Medicine, University of London. He will contribute to our programs in medical screening and early detection, management of subclinical hypothyroidism, prediabetes, familial cancer, and smoking cessation interventions. Dr Abu-Helalah conducted a cross-over clinical trial for the management of subclinical hypothyroidism during his work in the UK. He also lead the search for genetics mutation for patients with breast cancer or ovarian cancers. A project that identified novel mutations for these two cancers. He won the first place in the Prince of the Eastern Region, KSA Award for the Best cancer research in the Arab world in its first round in 2014.
