تبدأ الحامل بالاحساس بحركة الجنين في منتصف الشهر الرابع ولكن بشكل متقطع، ومع نهاية الشهر الرابع يصبح الاحساس بالحركة بشكل منتظم و يستمر هذا الاحساس حتى نهاية الشهر التاسع. قد يتأخر الاحساس بالحركة شهر كامل للسيدة بحملها الاول.
