Thank you to everyone who joined the ATLAS Monthly Webinar on December 23.🎉 With over 130 registrants, the session focused on "Particle Radiation Therapy" We were honored to have Dr. Yuta Sekino from National Cancer Center, Japan, as the facilitator. And Welcomed Dr. Tairo Kashihara from National Cancer Center, Japan and Dr. Hsiang-Kuang Tony Liang from National Taiwan University Hospital, Taiwan, as speakers.

🤝 APO Visit: Cancer Registry & Cohort Research Exchange 2025
We were pleased to welcome colleagues from the National Cancer Center, Japan (NCC) to the ATLAS Asian Partnerships Office (APO) for an in-depth discussion on the current landscape of cohort research and clinical research.
💡 Who joined: Dr Tomohiro Matsuda (Director, Cancer Registry Center; Asian partnership Section), Dr. Megumi Hori (Head, Cancer Registry Center), Dr. Rieko Kanehara (Researcher, Cohort Research Division), and Dr Mariko Hanafusa (Researcher, Cohort Research Division).
🌏 Looking ahead: Conversations like this help deepen cross-team alignment and support sustainable collaboration across borders—connecting real-world data, registries, and clinical studies to accelerate evidence generation in Asia.

🌏🤝 PMDA Visit to ATLAS APO (Bangkok) | Dec 2025
On 1 Dec 2025, we were pleased to welcome colleagues from Japan’s Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency (PMDA) to the NCC Asian Partnerships Office (APO) in Bangkok. We introduced the ATLAS Project and shared how APO supports multi-country collaboration in cancer clinical research across Asia.
🔭 Looking Ahead: We value continued engagement with partners in regulatory science and look forward to future opportunities to share lessons learned and strengthen collaboration across Asia.
🙏 Thank you to Dr. Madoka Murakami and Dr. Miho Sato (PMDA) for visiting and for the constructive discussions.

The ATLAS Semi-Annual Meeting was held on December 18, 2025.
Progress updates were shared by each study group, as well as on collaborative studies such as A-TRAIN, HARMONY, MASTER KEY ASIA, and Project CAD.
We will continue to strengthen international collaboration and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in Asia!

The first in-person meeting of the ATLAS HBPG (Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Cancer Group) was held.
In the meeting, active discussions were held among researchers on a wide range of topics, including retrospective observational studies, interventional studies, and participation in the EORTC-led project to revise the QOL evaluation questionnaire for hepatocellular carcinoma patients.

ATLAS HBPGとして初めての対面での会議を実施しました。会議では後ろ向き観察研究、介入試験、EORTCが主導する肝細胞がん患者用のQOL評価質問票の改訂プロジェクトへの参加など、多岐にわたるトピックについて研究者間で積極的な議論がかわされました。

The ATLAS Board meeting was held in a hybrid format, both in-person and online.
In the meeting, we discussed organizing the implementation structure for international collaborative IITs conducted within ATLAS, strategies for the establishment of organ-specific study groups, and plans for ATLAS-related presentations and sessions at CRM trial connect 2026 to be held in Malaysia next year.

ATLAS Board会議を対面・オンラインで実施しました。会議ではATLASで実施する国際共同IITの実施体制の整理、臓器別研究グループ（study group）設立に向けた戦略、来年マレーシアで開催されるCRM trial connect 2026におけるATLAS関連の発表やセッションの実施について議論を行いました。

As a collaboration between ESMO and ATLAS, an ATLAS session was held at ESMO Asia.

From ATLAS, Dr. Nuttapong and Dr. Ken Kato gave presentations, speaking respectively about perspectives on clinical development of head and neck cancer and gastrointestinal cancer in Asia.
We hope to continue maintaining collaboration with ESMO through conference presentations and other activities in the coming years.

ESMOとATLASのcollaborationとして、ESMO AsiaにおいてATLASのセッションが開催されました。 ATLASからはDr Nuttapongと加藤健先生が登壇され、それぞれ頭頚部がんと消化器がんのアジアにおける臨床開発の展望についてお話しいただきました。来年以降もESMOとは学会発表などを通じて連携を保っていきたいと思います。
