The southernmost tip of the Indian mainland.
Kanyakumari is having its own magical charm. It is here we can see sunrise and sunset from the same place, which is unique. This seashore is the confluence of two seas and one Ocean. Arabian Sea, Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal.
One can approach Kanyakumari very easily from Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala state. The nearest airport is also there, at a distance
of 90 Kms and hardly take 2 hours by road to reach Kanyakumari.
Regular buses & trains are available for travel.
Two nights & Three days are sufficient to cover the place.

Sunrises and sunsets, on Kanyakumari's horizon, are among the finest in India. Sunrise, alongside the Thiruvalluvar statue, is arguably the most majestic of the two. However, they are particularly special on full moon nights, when the moon rises from the sea opposite the setting sun at about the same time.

Sucheendram Temple
The seven storeyed 134 feet tall white Gopuram [temple tower] with various Hindu deities carved on the facade provides an architectural treat for the visitors. Built-in the 17th century, the whole temple is a great piece of Dravidian art. Another striking feature of the temple architecture is its 4 musical pillars carved out of stone standing 18 feet tall and one of the major highlights of the temple. The specialty of these pillars is that it emits sounds of various musical notes when tapped. There is also a staggering number of 1035 pillars carved in the dancing hall area.
