We held our 414th meeting on August 2nd with great energy and participation!

The session kicked off with a “Good and New” activity led by TM Te, where members shared recent personal achievements and uplifting stories. Highlights included “giving a public presentation in front of 100 people” and “visiting six Toastmasters clubs in a single day”—a truly impressive record!
Next, we enjoyed two fantastic prepared speeches.
TM Ti delighted us with heartwarming stories about unexpected gifts from a stranger. TM J shared a powerful true story of a customer who underwent plastic surgery, gained confidence, and experienced a dramatic transformation in life. He challenged us to think: Could plastic surgery become as ordinary as buying new clothes one day? His thought-provoking message earned him the Best Speaker award. Congratulations!
The Table Topics session, facilitated by TM M, invited participants to review a book based only on its cover. TM St stood out with a vivid and imaginative response, describing chapters and plots in detail—including how you can use the book to find the perfect detergent to clean yourself after being hit by birds! He was awarded Best Table Topics Speaker for his creativity.
In the General Evaluation session, TM Mo provided insightful feedback on TM Ti’s speech, while TM Y delivered a well-balanced and thoughtful evaluation of TM J’s speech. Their evaluations earned both of them the Best Evaluator award. Well done!
Supporting roles were also performed excellently:
TM St delivered a precise timer’s report.
TM Sh shared memorable phrases from the meeting.
TM KM reported how the word of the day, “inscrutable,” was used.
TM Ra reported the number of times speakers used filler words.
TM TK delivered the overall evaluation and expressed appreciation to our President for the thoughtful and prompt decision to hold a hybrid meeting after the typhoon alerts were lifted.
Thanks to Vote Master TM Is, we celebrated our winners in style, and TM KK wrapped up the meeting with thoughtful closing remarks.
