We welcomed the Rotary International President, Francesco Arezzo, the Trustee Chair, Holger Knaack, the Director, Isao "Mick" Mizuno, and the Rotary members on November 21, 2025.

We had a greeting and brief conversation with the ICU President, the Vice President, and the Dean of Graduate School, introducing the features of our university to the guests in the memorial building named "The Kiyoshi Togasaki Memorial Dialogue House." Kiyoshi Togasaki was the first Japanese RI President and also the first Chairman of the Board of the ICU.

After enjoying the beautifully colored leaves on campus, the party had a conversation with the ICU Rotary Peace Fellows. Our fellow alumna, Rona, delivered a presentation reflecting on her life as a Peace Fellow. And we had a free discussion session among the Rotary members and the ICU fellows. Fellows expressed their gratitude for the Rotary's generous support and shared their ideas on potential future cooperation with the Rotary through this fellowship program. We spent a precious and fruitful time with the Rotary members.

We appreciate their visit to the ICU. Thank you very much!!

Please check out Class 23 ICU Rotary Peace Fellow, Jamieson's Applied Field Experience story! We have never expected that this wonderful and rare collaboration happened in the AFE site!

The Rotary Peace Fellows conduct field research apart from campus in their second year based on their research interest (most of the case, they go abroad to pursue the AFE). Other cohort fellows conducted/continue their AFE, too.

[Commencement July 2025]
We had a commencement at the ICU chapel today!! Nine Class 22 Fellows successfully graduated from the ICU graduate school today. They will embark on another journey to pursue peace-building on their own. Even if they face any challenges in their future career, we want them to reflect on what they thought/learned through the Peace Fellowship at ICU. We hope this experience becomes a lifelong asset for them.
