【ブラジル・サンパウロ州での平和講演会と龍踊指導 報告その１】

ブラジル・サンパウロ市を拠点に活動する長崎県出身者の団体「ブラジル長崎県人会」の招待を受け、前長崎市長田上富久氏と鶴鳴学園 長崎女子高等学校の教頭で龍踊部顧問の前田洋先生が令和７年10月17日（金）から22日（水）にブラジル・サンパウロ州を訪問し、県人会会員、市民向けの平和講演会や龍踊指導などを行いました。
その様子を２回に分けて報告します。
世界に3か所ある日本文化の発信拠点「ジャパン・ハウス サンパウロ」での講演会には約100人が来場し、核兵器が80年前の長崎にどのような影響をもたらしたか、その影響がどのように続いているか、そして世界の核兵器に関する状況やブラジルとの関係などについての田上前市長の講演に熱心に耳を傾けていました。
講演会の途中には、県産品を試食してもらい、長崎が海産物で有名なまちであることや長崎市の花がアジサイであることなどを実際に味わって体験してもらいました。
長崎女子高校龍踊部の顧問である前田先生からは、長崎の郷土芸能龍踊の発展の歴史の説明があり、長崎女子高校龍踊部の公演の様子をビデオで見た観客からは拍手が起こりました。
また、講演会の前には、ジャパン・ハウスの前のパウリスタ大通りでブラジル長崎県人会龍踊部が実際に龍踊を披露すると大きな歓声が沸きました。また、皿踊りや盆踊り、ブラジル特有のマツリダンスなども披露され、盛り上がりました。
[Visit to São Paulo, Brazil to Give a Lecture on Peace and Teach the Dragon Dance – Report #1]
Mr. TAUE Tomihisa, former mayor of Nagasaki, and Mr. MAEDA Hiroshi, deputy head of Nagasaki Girls’ High School and instructor of the dragon dance club, visited São Paulo, Brazil from Friday, October 17th to Wednesday, October 22nd in response to an invitation given by the Nagasaki Prefectural Association in Brazil based in São Paulo. In Brazil, they gave a lecture on peace and taught the dragon dance to members of the Prefectural Association and citizens.
We will post two reports about this visit.
Mr. Taue gave a lecture to approximately 100 people at the Japan House – São Paulo, which is one of three such facilities around the world aimed at spreading Japanese culture. In the lecture, he explained the impact brought by a nuclear weapon to Nagasaki 80 years ago and its continuing influence today, as well as the current situation of nuclear weapons in the world and how they relate to Brazil. The audience paid great attention to his lecture.
During an intermission, snacks made in Nagasaki Prefecture were distributed to give a taste of Nagasaki. Participants learned that Nagasaki is famous for its seafood and that the hydrangea is the city flower of Nagasaki.
After that, Mr. Maeda, the dragon dance club instructor at Nagasaki Girls’ High School, taught about the history of the dragon dance, which is a folk art of Nagasaki. Participants gave a big applause after watching the dragon dance performance by members of Nagasaki Girls’ High School Dragon Dance Club.
Before the lecture, on Paulista Avenue in front of the Japan House, an audience cheered at a dragon dance performance by the Nagasaki Prefectural Association in Brazil. Traditional dances such as the sara-odori and bon-odori dances were also performed, as well as the Brazilian “Matsuri Dance”, creating a lively atmosphere.
