Dr. Shoichi Kuramitsu of Sapporo Cardiovascular Clinic (SCVC) has published a new editorial in Circulation Journal, the official journal of the Japanese Circulation Society.
The piece is titled, “Discordance Between Coronary Physiological Indices — A Stepping Stone to a Novel Metric —.” We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Kuramitsu for his continued academic leadership and contributions to the global medical community. Well done!

Dr. Hisanori Yui, a former domestic fellow at SCVC currently practicing at Nagano Red Cross Hospital, has had his paper, "Drug-Coated Balloon Angioplasty vs Drug-Eluting Stent Implantation Following Rotational Atherectomy for Heavily Calcified Coronary Lesions," published as a Brief Report in JACC: Cardiovascular Interventions. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Yui on this prestigious achievement!

Today marks a bittersweet milestone as we bid farewell to our international fellows from Indonesia, Dr. Bayushi Eka Putra and Dr. Ivan Satria Pratama. 🇮🇩✨
Over the past year of interventional cardiology training, we have been deeply impressed by their unwavering dedication and the genuine friendship they brought to our team. While we are sad to see them go, we are incredibly excited to see them elevate cardiovascular medicine in Indonesia. 🩺❤️
