Founded/Directed by Dr. Tia Buchanan, LCMHC-S, LPCC, LPCS, LAC, NBCC CCMHC, NCC who currently serves in Japan. Acorns n Bones OMC is a IRS 501(C)(3) Non-profit Christian lifestyle psychotherapy outreach counseling ministry, focusing on edification, education, and counseling of psychotherapy needs to gain positive mental wellbeing in the Shaw, Fort Jackson, and Sumter area community. Psychotherapy, EMDR, Kickboxing, Yoga therapy, and other holistic health practices are entwined together with our diverse clientele to develop individualized plans of action to teach clients to “Get Up, Be Raised Up, Grow!”.Our clients seek us out specifically because of our staff’s abilities to integrate a psychotherapeutic Christian foundation from a Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual whole person integrated counseling modality. This TAIM© Model focuses on the client ability to integrate healing and restoration of self. We work with individuals, and families using intra (deep) and inter (surface level) personal relationships according to client’s needs.

Our Story

Acorns n Bones LLC provides a Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual basis in mental health and counseling for ministry and outreach. More importantly, Acorns n Bones LLC provides a community of professional therapists and believers who have joined together to meet the spiritual and academic needs of the greater community and BREAK the stigma of mental health, and what counseling ‘should’ be. Acorns n Bones LLC promotes behavior that is consistent with growing client relationships for healing and restoration. We enable clients to problem solve and to “Get Up, Be Raised Up, Grow!” from a bio-psycho-social-spiritual mental health foundation in healing and restoration.
