‎Meet Joseph Ogolla Olita, Kenyan-London Actor who was bought and paid by colonial powers a sum of Kshs.1.5M to paint Idi Amini Dada's name negatively in the movie 'The Rise And Fall of Idi Amini Dada' as the main Actor.

‎In the Movie he was instructed to potray Field Marshal Gen.Idi Amini Dada as a illiterate,Killer-who ate human flesh, hater of religion,Betrayer of his own people,Rapist who sexually harassed women anyhowly,a brutal and a dictatorial leader who ruled Uganda with an IRON FIST in 1970s.

‎Joseph Ogolla Olita who hails from Siaya in Western region of Kenya made the world believe that former President Amini Dada was a racist African leader who hated Asians and Whites something that was not true.

‎He made people see President Amini in negative ways.

‎Some of us believed that Amini used to call MEDICINE as HOSPITAL TREES due to his poor English, which was not True.

PRESIDENTS OF UGANDA BTWN 1979 -1986 WHEN THE LIFETIME PRESIDENT EMERGED

Uganda was served by 5 presidents between 1979 to 1986, very perishable indeed, some serving just a few months, until one durable man showed up:

1. Yusuf Lule – 1979
2. Godfrey Binaisa – 1979 to 1980
3. Paulo Muwanga – 1980
4. Milton Obote – 1980 to 1985 (second term)
5. Tito Okello – 1985 to 1986
6. Yoweri Museveni – 1986 to infinity

And Ugandans are happy with him

Yes, it is technically true that Yoweri Museveni was part of the same nominal government as Tito Okello just before the National Resistance Army (NRA) captured Kampala in January 1986, but they were in the final stages of a violent struggle for power.

✓Here are the details of that period:

The 1985 Coup and Coalition:Following the overthrow of President Dr.Apollo Milton Obote by Tito Okello in July 1985, a Military Council was established. To bring stability, Okello invited various rebel groups, including Museveni’s National Resistance Army (NRA), to join a coalition government.

✓The Nairobi Agreement (Dec 1985):

After months of negotiation, Museveni and Tito Okello signed a peace and power-sharing agreement in Nairobi on December 17, 1985. Under this deal, Okello was to remain Chairman of the Military Council (Head of State) and Museveni was to be Vice Chairman.

✓A "Shaky" Partnership:

While the agreement stipulated a coalition, it was rarely implemented. Museveni and the NRA never truly accepted the authority of the military junta, viewing it as a continuation of previous, corrupt regimes. The ceasefire negotiated in Nairobi was immediately violated.

✓The Final Assault (Jan 1986):

While theoretically part of the same governing council, Museveni continued his "bush war" in the countryside and launched the final assault on Kampala. On January 25, 1986, the NRA secured control of the capital, and Tito Okello fled into exile.

✓ : On January 29, 1986, Yoweri Museveni was sworn in as President, officially ending the short-lived Tito Okello regime.

In summary, Museveni was nominally part of the government, but he was simultaneously fighting to overthrow it. This is like a father stealing from his own source-pan and claim he is so powerful that he has struggled for food!

Mike Mukula Proposes New Capital to Relieve Kampala's Overcrowding

Mike Mukula, vice chairman of the National Resistance Movement's eastern region, proposed constructing a new, well-planned metropolis to replace Kampala as Uganda's capital, citing the city's 4.3 million population and challenges including traffic congestion and flooding.

The envisioned city would house key institutions like Parliament, the Central Bank, judiciary, and a modern airport, aligning with ongoing government initiatives to develop satellite cities such as Entebbe, Nakasongola & others

While supporters cite successful relocations, skeptics raise concerns about feasibility, corruption, and governance under the current leadership.

‎12 Ways Parents Kill Their Children’s Confidence without Knowing

‎One of the greatest gifts you can give your children is confidence, the courage to face life with boldness, to believe in themselves, and to rise even after failing. Unfortunately, many well-meaning parents unknowingly destroy this gift with their words, actions, or silence.

‎Confidence is not something children stumble upon; it is nurtured in the home. If you notice your child becoming timid, withdrawn, or overly dependent, it may be a signal that something in your parenting style needs adjusting.

‎Here are 12 subtle ways parents kill their children’s confidence without even realizing it:

‎1. Constant Criticism

‎When every mistake is met with harsh words “Can’t you ever do anything right?” a child begins to believe they are a failure. Correct with love, not condemnation. Children need guidance, not a running commentary of their flaws.

‎2. Comparing Them to Others

‎“Look at your cousin… why can’t you be like her?” These words may sound innocent, but they crush self-worth. Every child is unique. Comparison tells your child they are not good enough, planting seeds of insecurity.

‎3. Overprotection

‎Parents who never allow their children to try, fail, and learn on their own unknowingly raise fearful adults. Shielding them from every risk whispers, “You cannot handle life on your own.” Confidence grows when children are trusted with responsibility.

‎4. Lack of Encouragement

‎When children do something well, be it a drawing, a school recital, or helping with chores, they crave affirmation. Silence at such moments can be as damaging as negative words. Encouragement is the fuel that powers self-esteem.

‎5. Excessive Punishment

‎Discipline is necessary, but punishment without explanation breeds fear. A child who grows up afraid of their parents may obey on the outside but feel worthless on the inside. Discipline should correct, not crush.

‎6. Ignoring Their Voice

‎When a child speaks and you wave them off—“Keep quiet, what do you know?” you teach them their opinions don’t matter. Soon, they stop talking, even when their input could make a difference in the future.

‎7. Withholding Love

‎Some parents only show love when a child succeeds. But children must know they are loved unconditionally. Love that is earned destroys confidence; love that is given builds it.

‎8. Public Shaming

‎Scolding a child in front of others, neighbors, siblings, or classmates may correct behavior but damages dignity. Shame makes children want to disappear instead of grow. Correction is best done privately.

‎9. Unrealistic Expectations

‎Demanding perfection, straight A’s, first position, or flawless performance, pressures children into anxiety. When they inevitably fall short, they feel like disappointments. Encourage progress, not perfection.

‎10. Neglecting Quality Time

‎Children equate attention with value. When you are always too busy with work, phone, or TV, they begin to feel unimportant. Confidence grows when children know they matter enough to be listened to and spent time with.

‎11. Negative Labeling

‎Words like “stubborn,” “lazy,” “stupid,” stick longer than you think. Labels shape identity. Over time, children begin to live out the negative names they are called. Speak life, not curses, over your children.

‎12. Not Believing in Them

‎When parents doubt their children’s abilities “You can’t do it” they are planting seeds of failure. Confidence flourishes when a child knows their parents believe in them, even when they struggle.

‎Final Word
‎Dear parents, confidence is like a fragile plant. It can be watered with love, encouragement, and patience, or it can be trampled under harsh words and neglect. If you want your children to grow into bold, secure, and successful adults, be intentional. Correct wisely, love deeply, and affirm constantly.

‎Remember this: every child deserves a home that builds them up, not one that tears them down.
