❤️‍🩹 **Another Remarkable Success at Eldoret Asahi Heart Centre** ♥️

We are thrilled to share a story of resilience and advanced medical achievement here at EAHC. Recently, a 62-year-old woman arrived at our emergency department suffering from chest pain that she had been experiencing for the past three days. Understanding the severity of her condition, our team swiftly moved her to our catheterization lab for an angiogram.

During the procedure, it was discovered that her Left Anterior Descending (LAD) artery was completely occluded. Initial attempts to open the artery with a balloon were successful, but unfortunately, there was no blood flow due to the presence of extensive thrombus, making immediate stenting impossible.

With quick thinking, our skilled cardiologists administered intracoronary medication to dissolve the clot and then transferred her to our Cardiac ICU. After 24 hours of careful monitoring and administration of blood-thinning medication, a follow-up angiogram showed significant improvement in blood flow and a reduced thrombus size.

Encouraged by these positive developments, we proceeded with stenting the artery. We are happy to report that the patient is now recovering well in our ward.

This case was particularly challenging due to the delay in seeking medical attention, which complicated her heart condition. It underscores the vital message we wish to share with everyone:
