Protecting Your Health Against Cervical Cancer .
Early detection is the most powerful tool we have. While cervical cancer often has no symptoms in its very early stages, it is important to know the warning signs as the disease progresses.
Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding: Bleeding between periods, after menopause, or after sexual in*******se.
Unusual Discharge: Vaginal discharge that may be watery, pale, pink, brown, bloody, or foul-smelling.
Pelvic Pain: Persistent pain in the pelvis or lower back that isn't related to other conditions.
Pain During In*******se: Pain felt during or after sexual activity.
If you notice any of these symptoms, do not panic, but do not delay.
1. Consult a Professional: Visit your nearest healthcare facility or gynecologist immediately for a check-up.
2. Be Specific: Tell your healthcare provider exactly what symptoms you are experiencing and for how long.
3. Request a Screening: Ask for a cervical cancer screening (HPV DNA test or Pap Smear).
4. Follow Up: Ensure you receive and understand your results and follow the recommended next steps provided by your doctor.
Remember: Having these symptoms doesn't always mean you have cancer—other infections or conditions can cause them—but only a medical professional can give you an accurate diagnosis.

Day 11: Ground Breaking News For Healthcare At Nasio 🏥

Thanks to the generosity of the Mohammad Bin Sultan Foundation, construction has begun on a new hospital to serve our Nasio community as well as local people in the surrounding area.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on 25th of November. Once complete, it will be a Level 4 hospital with imaging diagnostics, higher in-patient capacity, and an operating theatre - bringing specialised healthcare closer to the community 🧡

With so many struggling to travel to get the healthcare they need, this project will have an incredible impact on everyone who needs it!

Nasio Christmas Countdown🎄

Day 9: Our New X-Ray Machine, A Gift That Will Save Lives 🌟

Today we’re celebrating an amazing gift that will change lives in Mumias West.

A huge thank you to Dr Mark and Dr Wayne for their incredibly generous donation of an X-ray machine to our GMK Medical Centre.

Because of their kindness, families in our rural community can now access safe, reliable and sophisticated diagnostic care close to home - something many could not afford or reach before.

This is more than equipment!
It’s faster answers and better treatment.

And hope for thousands of people who rely on our clinic every year ⭐

From all of us at Nasio, asante sana for helping us bring quality healthcare to those who need it most 🧡

Today, the Pride of Nasio, together with the Medical Team and Community Team, visited Bubala C, where they conducted jigger treatment for four children aged 4, 6, 6, and 9 years.
The activity was carried out door-to-door, ensuring that all affected households were reached. In addition to treating the children, the smearing team applied a mixture of cow dung and chemicals on the floors and walls of the affected house to eliminate jiggers and prevent further infestation.
As part of the prevention effort, the family also received health education on hygiene and home cleanliness to help reduce the risk of future jigger infestations. The family also received a food parcel and shoes for the children!
