We are excited to announce that our team attended the APRAK Rehab Owners Association AGM meeting at KICD Nairobi yesterday. It was an informative and productive meeting, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from other rehab owners.

EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AT WORKPLACE.
FINAL EPISODE:CAN EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE BE INCREASED?
YES!! WITH PRACTICE.
Your brain is hard-wired to give emotions the upper hand.
The Limbic system (Emotional Brain) reacts to events before we have the opportunity to engage the rational brain.
EQ requires effective communication between rational and emotional centers of the brain.
There are 5 Skills/ Steps to develop EQ
1. Rapidly reduce stress....Stop!!! Listen!! Watch your stress levels.
2.Emotional awareness....... Listen and classify your emotions ....verbalize this...
a)I feel very angry
b)I feel abit angry
c) I feel bitter..
3.Non verbal communication.......Use non verbal to communicate after verbalizing how you feel in (2) above.Hold on!!! Don't talk for now!
4.Use humor and play to deal with challenges..(Emotional) Include humor in a creative way...confirms the level of your emotional awareness.
5. Resolves conflicts positively... Always resolve conflicts amicably, NEVER POSTPONE!!!But remember....Do it at the right time!!At the right place!!!
Nb:. Remain stable always and continue with your performance at the same level Or increase steadily.... You're in control...
