Today, we hosted a professional development training session focusing on the principles of trauma-informed care in responding to cases of gender-based violence among children with disabilities.
The session provided our team with practical knowledge on applying the core principles of trauma-informed care; safety, trust, empowerment, and collaboration, to create supportive environments for children with disabilities.
The session was facilitated by Jairus Kibagendi Jairus,a psychologist from A Million Hugs, who guided the team through an insightful and engaging learning experience.
