The tournament has attracted players from several regions, with clubs such as Kenya Airforce, Eldoret, Kitale, Kakamega, Kisii, Kericho and hosts Nyanza confirming participation.

Right Hon. Raila, was not just a name that resonated across the nation; to us here at Nyanza Club, he was a friend, a mentor, a confidant, and a true son of this soil.

As Nyanza Club, we mourn a stalwart
- a man who stood tall for justice, fairness, and community. We also celebrate a life richly lived — one that touched countless hearts and left an indelible mark on our history.

NGC members led by our chairman Tom Odongo, Golfer Deputy Governor Dr Owili, amongst many other golfers bidded him farewell by visiting his family in Bondo today. May he rest in eternal peace.

As Nyanza Club we mourn a stalwart — a man who stood tall for justice, fairness, and community. We also celebrate a life richly lived — one that touched countless hearts and left an indelible mark on our history.

On behalf of the Nyanza Club fraternity, we extend our deepest condolences to Mama Ida, the children, the wider Odinga family( most of them our members too) and all who mourn this monumental loss.

May the Almighty grant them comfort and strength in this difficult time.

Rest well, our dear friend and brother.
