Taking s*x for granted – yes, that’s the biggest marriage mistake couples make. Marriage is a s*x covenant. In Mal 2:14 and Prov 2:16-17, we see the marriage covenant broken by extramarital s*x.
In marriage, the two become one flesh (Matt 19:5). Marriage is a love relationship. Your partner is not your sibling. S/he is your lover. Marriage is eros love - passionate, sensual, and romantic love.
No S*x, No Marriage. The one habit that can save your marriage is intimacy. If you become intentionally and creatively intimate, it’ll be easier to resolve your conflicts. Love fades when effort stops.
While marriage is a team sport, marriage is not 50/50. Marriage works when you bring your 100% into the game. Here’s the golden rule: Do your duty with 100% devotion, pray for your partner!
Your marriage will only be as strong as your personal commitment. Are you playing to win? Or, are you blaming your partner? If you want to keep your marriage alive and rekindle the fire, focus on your role.
